On the Wings of Song

On the Wings of Song is a lyrical recital for countertenor, clarinet, and piano that explores the intersection of voice and instrument across cultures, styles, and centuries. Inspired by the poetic symbolism of flight, the program moves fluidly between German Lieder, English song, and Hebrew art music, interweaving vocal and instrumental moments in a musical narrative.
From baroque to ladino

A musical journey through longing, devotion, and identity, this program bridges early European art music with Jewish Ladino and Hebrew traditions. It reflects on the expressive power of the voice across sacred and secular spheres, revealing deep emotional connections across time and cultures.
Evening at the sea

This recital evokes the mystery and beauty of the sea through English song and instrumental music. Themes of nature, introspection, and lyrical stillness are woven together, offering moments of calm, nostalgia, and poetic reflection along the shifting tides of sound.
In memoriam

This program explores the experience of exile- geographical, emotional, and spiritual, through 20th-century works shaped by displacement and identity. These songs reflect how music can transform loss and longing into powerful artistic testimony, preserving memory and hope across turbulent times.
Beethoven Folk Songs

This program celebrates Beethoven’s cosmopolitan ear, transforming Irish, Scottish, and Continental folk melodies into refined chamber miniatures for voice with piano, violin, and cello. Simple tunes become intimate dramas by turns tender, witty, and communal, where popular song and classical craft meet at the fireside and the salon, giving shared stories, dances, and toasts a new life on stage.
Wandering in the great unknown

Three song cycles trace a journey of inner and outer travel, from Schubert’s winter exile to Vaughan Williams’s folk-inspired paths and Elgar’s vast maritime landscapes. The program contemplates transformation, solitude, and the eternal human drive to seek meaning in the unknown.
